Winter Song

Bryn did several performances of her dance called "Winter Song" over the holidays and each time I was equally as touched. It is a beautiful dance and she is really turning into a beautiful dancer. I love watching her dance :)

Vegas Baby :)

Thanks to Jaden, we get to go to some fun places all year to watch baseball! It was beautiful weather in Vegas and his team did well. We had to leave early to get back for Kim's wedding so it was a short but sweet trip.

Halloween 2011

Yes, Im a little behind! One of my New Years resolutions is to blog more often and get caught up on my scrapbooks~
Halloween was fun and unusually warm! Went to Bryns parade at school, I love going to these and Ill be sad when she is out of elementary :( I helped out at her class party. Love her teacher, and her class is so well behaved and such cute kids!
On Halloween night I made Potato cheese soup, ( its our tradition ) and Grandma Sharon, Grandpa Ric, Terra and the kids and our friends The Shorts came over to go Trick or Treating. It was so nice to not have to bundle all up and not see the costumes!

One of the worst things for a Mom to hear is one of her kids running in the house calling her name with panic in their voice. That is what happened, Jade runs in telling me that Bryn got hurt bad on the tramp. My first thought was she broke something, she is pretty breakable. I go out and her and her friend Shamrah are sitting on the tramp and she seems ok. She tells me she cut her leg and its not that bad. Well she was wrong! It was BAD! Stuff was hanging out of where it shouldnt be :( I tried not to freak out and carried her in. She was more upset that her Miss Me jeans had a tear in them, I was upset knowing I had to tell her she needed stitches. Jade had a game that we were out the door to go to, so we dropped him off and headed to the Dr. They gave her numbing gel that didnt work so she had to get several shots :( (Hopefully she wont read this cause she doesnt know it was shots) She has a tendency to overreact and be a pretty big wimp in situations like this but she was actually pretty brave! 12 stitches later we headed to Jades game and he told her he was going to get a good hit for her,and he got a hit to take the lead in a tournament game :) Grandpa Dee bought her a scone and all was well.

Cabin ! Fall 2011

My Brother and his wife invited us up to their cabin, and we had a blast! It was perfect weather and such a pretty drive with the leaves changing. Grandpa and Grandma came with us too and Jamie made us her famous yummy dutch oven chicken dinner. Jaden is in heaven there! He had wanted to go all summer and we were so busy that we never could, he had a blast on the 4 wheeler and Bryn loved painting rocks and going for rides with Dad on the 4 wheeler. We hung out by the fire and played " I went on a trip and I took a " and made S'mores. We slept up in the loft and Jamie made scary monster shadows on the wall with a flashlight. So fun! In the morning she made us waffles with strawberries and whip cream:)
We took a longer way home since it was a prettier drive to see leaves, and it was beautiful! We stopped by a stream and there were TONS of fuzzy black and orange caterpillars. We called them Giants caterpillars cause of their color :)
Thanks John and Jamie! We are lucky you have us up to such a fun place! Cant wait to go again!

Kimmy's Wedding

So beautiful. The Bride, the yard, my daughter in her flower girl dress, having both my boys walk me down the isle, and most of all Grandma Sorenson. I will never forget how beautiful she looked in the crowd. The sun was shining on her and she never stopped smiling.

Trying to catch up on my blogging so the date correspond with the pics! ( almost there )
Cant believe Jaden is in 8th grade. He is such a great kid that it is making this teenager thing not so bad this far. Hope that lasts. And my little Bean is in 4th grade! It seems like that should be the grade Jaden is in and she should still be in Kindergarten :( She has an awesome teacher and comes home every day telling me some cool thing they did! So happy we made the teacher switch! Here are the famous annual on the porch pics.

One last Hurrah!

We decided to go down to the Condo in St George for one last trip before school started. It was so nice and relaxing. We pretty much hung out by the pool all day and ate :) What more is there really? Oh and finished school shopping. So fun to spend some time with my parents. So glad we went!

Birthday Pup

Happy 2nd Birthday Oak! ( yes I know she is just a dog ) Here is birthday girl in her new collar... Such a sweet puppy! We LOVE you!

I cant believe my little boy is 13! I have a teenager? Not possible. At lease I am lucky enough to have a sweet, caring, funny, talented teenager who still calls me Momma and tells me he loves me everyday ( usually more than once )
On his Birthday we went to Jamba juice and then he went on his annual shopping/lunch date with Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Dee. He looks forward to this every year and is the highlight of his day. He got an awesome Giants jersey that is really hard to find, and some new Vans. Then we went to dinner with Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Ric to Tepanyaki Yum! I got him a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from Olive Garden for dessert and opened his gifts. ( yes one was a new bat again )
I love this boy more than words can say!

Fenway Park

LOVE LOVE LOVED Fenway! I honestly loved everything about it! The old brick, the old signs, the smell, loved being there with Steve in his Red Sox jersey knowing he was in heaven! I was in picture taking overload! I had the best pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw EVER! What an amazing ballpark, it felt like you were going to walk out to the field and see the old time baseball players! Wish we could have seen more of Boston, but that was good enough!

Cooperstown

Cooperstown is the cutest little town! It is a baseball lovers dream. Steve and Jaden stayed in the dorms at the Dreams Park and Bryn and I stayed in a cute, cozy little cottage in the country with 3 other Devils Moms ( and Grandma ) Havent laughed that much in a long time! It was such an amazing experience and I am so glad we did it! Jades team did well and it was so fun to watch them. He loved every minute of it and that made it all worth it!

New York

I took over 800 pictures on our trip to New York, so I am taking the easy way out and doing photo collages of each place we went. First stop, NYC! It was HOT & HUMID the day we were there! We went to the Statue of Liberty and walked around Battery Park. Then we headed for Yankee Stadium and sat through a 3 hour rain delay! It was worth it though, amazing to be there and watch them play the Red Sox. ( yes Steve wore his Sox jersey )
We have to go back because Bryn really wanted to go up in the Empire State Building and we ran out of time!

I hope you DANCE

I'm going to be honest here, I secretly kinda hoped that Bryn would want to play softball and I had visions of her being on the pink team with the cute white shirts with pink sleeves. I could be her coach and she could be a softball pitcher like Mom :) Well, I don't think that is going to happen, but that's ok, I have my ball player and I have my dancer, perfect!
She had her first competition in St George and I was so proud of her! She didn't seem nervous at all and her and her group got 2nd place in both dances they did. Which is very good considering they only practice once a week for an hour and most of the other teams dance LOTS more than that. Dance competitions are very interesting, Ive never experienced anything like that. Some of the Moms are crazy and some of the dancers are little stinkers. Im happy that she is in a group of girls that are not like that and there to have fun. Way to dance your butt off Bean! I'm excited for more competitions. Now lets go buy you a pink bat.... kidding :)

Easter 2011

I was so unprepared for Easter this year. It could have been my last minute decision to go on a job with Steve to Lake Tahoe( so beautiful) Or the fact that we were at baseball games every night... Somehow I got it all done and we had a busy but fun Easter as usual.
