Jades Bday

Jade had a fun bday! :) First he got to go shopping with Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Dee. They went to the mall and he got new shoes and a Utah Utes metal sign from Fanzz for his room, and a cool red heart that says Yachats on it from Oregon. They ate lunch and then went back to their house and he helped them make apricot ice cream for his party later that night. He looks forward to doing that every year, thanks Gma and Gpa!
When he got home we gave him his present that he wanted SOOOOOOO bad! A new bat. He has been wanting it for along time and was so excited. We put balloons on it and put it in the backyard and told him to go check to see if the hose was on. The look on his face was priceless! He even kissed it and didnt put it down the whole rest of the day and night. It even slept with him. Him and his teammates name their bats, his last one was Trixie Triton, this one is Tracy Triton, his friends is Roseann :) so welcome Tracy, get ready to be used ALOT!
Jade chose Tepanyaki for dinner, it was so yummy! He LOVES steak and theirs is the best! We had a big group, Us, both Grandparents, Chris, Terra, Izzy and Alex,Kim and her friend. It was fun, Alex even did some break dancing for us :) Then we came back to our house for homemade icecream ( which was amazing ) and THE CAKE. .. John and Jamie came over too and our friends Jeff and Alisa and their kids. Then it was off to bed for him with his new San Francisco Giants blanket and Tracy the bat.
The next day was his friend party and the pool. He had 12 friends come! 12 boys and everything went smooth! :) They are all such cute boys and great friends.Most of them he plays baseball with and 2 that have been his best friends forever. The first hour or so they spent playing football instead of swimming :) He got lots of gift cards to sports authority, TONS of baseball cards, gift cards to MLB.com, a cool glow in the dark basketball hoop and lots of other fun things. Thanks everyone.

Happy Birthday J

11 years ago I became a Mom for the first time, and I couldnt have been blessed with a sweeter son.. The hospital he was born in is by my parents house and we drove by there today and it is getting torn down. I was kinda sad, but Ill never forget it or that day. One of my favorite memories of that day is hearing my Mom say " Jen, he has dimples! " This was before I had a chance to look at him close, I remember thinking " give me my baby " So I thought this was an appropriate picture to use since it shows his dimples. I love you Jade, thank you for making me a Mom. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We're back......

We got home today and Im already missing the smell and sound of Oregon. I love being able to walk outside and smell the pine trees and the ocean at the same time. This pic of Bryn is one of my favorites.. I'll post the rest later..... back to reality and planning Jades bday party! :)

4th

We started off the 4th with a disappointing baseball loss :( Then we had a fun Bbq with friends and family. We did fireworks, Jade did a great job of lighting them and put on a great show. We made a fire in our firepit, and did S'mores .. It was a fun night, I couldnt help but miss my family that were in Oregon on the beach, but it was the next best thing!
