We decided very last minute to go to Denver, Steve had a couple jobs there so we thought it would be fun to go with him and go to a Rockies game.. It worked out perfect, they were playing The Giants ( Jades favorite team, and mine too ) So glad we went, it was a perfect evening for a game. I love major league games. The whole atmosphere is so exciting to me. The players on the field, the lights, the food, the perfectly groomed grass, the sounds, the smells, people watching, EVERYTHING. We went early and watching batting practice and Jade got 3 home run balls. We got to see his favorite player and awesome pitcher Tim Lincecum up close, it was worth every penny to watch Jade, it was like he was in heaven. After the game we headed out and drove a few hours and stayed in Vail for the night, then it was off to John and Jamie's cabin. We hadn't seen it completely done and it is so beautiful, I am so happy for them. We got there and my parents were there and Jade hopped right on the 4 wheeler and we didn't see much of him after that. He was a natural at it. They made us a yummy dutch oven dinner and we made a fire and had S"MORES.. They have a loft with beds up there and we slept up there. The kids loved that, until the loudest thunder I have EVER heard happened! The next day Jamie made us Belgian waffles with strawberries and cream and they were to die for. Then spent most of the day 4 wheeling, playing mini golf on the course they made, hunting for lizards and horny toads. It was so fun and so pretty up there, Jade keeps bugging Steve to get a 4 wheeler now. Somehow I don't think he will have to twist his arm too hard. Now its back to school...
