So I had a root canal today or should I say I was " tortured" today! In the past I have had a problem with not numbing completely at the dentist, and needless to say this time was the worst! I basically felt the whole thing and it felt like nothing I can explain except what it actually was, a file being shoved in the root of my tooth! The dentist felt bad and could tell it was hurting due to the tears running down my face! So I had about 10 shots total, 3 right in the tooth, and I still felt the whole thing. So he told me my options were " grin and bear it " or be " put out completely another day" I have never been put out and am scared to death of it it, so I stuck it out and cried like a baby. Oh, it gets worse though. So when he is all done he tells me that due to the fact my root is "curved" at the end, the tip of the file broke off and will stay there unless it starts bothering me and at that point I need surgery on my gum to get it out.!!! I am getting sick about it just re-living it again, so Im going to go take my many pills and try to go to bed.
