snowman

I love Bryn's creativity.. She made a snowman and we didn't have any carrots so she used an orange crayon for the nose, and she couldn't find anything for the eyes, mouth and buttons so she used Cap N Crunch.. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Rockin the Santa Hat....

Jade had his Christmas band concert last week. He switched instruments this year and is now playing the trumpet. It was fun to see how good he has gotten and it helped me get more into a Christmas mood.. Him and his friend Matt wore their Santa hats, Jades is a Utes one and Matt's is a Jazz one. As you can see, the sport in him never fully goes away :)

Willow Tree Nativity

This hands down is my favorite Christmas decoration I have... It is always the first thing up and the last to come down. I LOVE it! I need to get the angel for it and then it's complete. Steve got me most of it for our 9th anniversary because the traditional gift for that year is Willow.. ( pretty clever huh ) Bryn loves it as much as I do and loves to help me put it up...

Yachats

What a perfect place to be to make you feel Thankful... We spent 9 days walking the beach, shopping, eating, playing games, relaxing, searching for agates, laughing, hiking the hobbit trail, searching for bright colored mushrooms, getting stranded on a rock with the tide coming in due to a huge sea lion blocking our way, watching Oaklee combing the beach for treasures,( sticks, jellyfish, mussels, seagul wings,)watching the waves, drinking yummy sea turtle lattes everyday, finding our Christmas tree, and mostly just enjoying our family. So much to be thankful for... I took over 300 pictures, here are a few of my favs....

New Dog, New Tricks

We have had Oaklee for 2 and a half weeks now, and so far so good, just minor bumps in the road with potty training, and puppy teeth, but for the most part she is a sweetheart and we love her so much!
I decided to try to start teaching her some things and HOLY COW is she a smarty pants! She learned "sit" almost immediately and "down" was soon to follow. She has learned "shake" and "roll over" The kids love working with her on it, and its a good distraction for her cause she loves to play with them and gets a little crazy excited sometimes with them :) I felt a little sad the other day because she hit the blinds on the back door to go out, just like Aspen did :( It made me miss him and feel a little guilty about having a new puppy. He will always be our first baby. Here is a picture of her working with Bean on "shake"

Miss Oaklee

We have been thinking about getting a new puppy for awhile now, and I was looking on KSL at puppies and for some reason this one certain ad stood out. So last night after Jades game we went over to " just look at them " and the second I saw this little girl I knew she was ours. We sat there for along time playing with them, there were 9 of them! We all kept going back to the one with the green collar with rhinestones. Then we found out that the name they had given her was Jade, definitely a sign and something about her face was just so cute! She is 45 days old and they are supposed to be 49 but they had let one other one go so they said it would be OK if we wanted to take her that night :) She spent 2 hours last night sleeping in her crate and then she whined and I gave in and she slept with us the rest of the night. She is so sweet and love able! It was for sure love at first sight. Her full name is Oaklee Jade Moyer ( the Lee is for Brynlee and the Jade is well you know and the Oak is for Aspen ) Cant wait for everyone to meet her.

Mommies & Babies

"A mother is she who can take the place of all others but
whose place no one else can take."
-- Cardinal Mermillod

We spent a beautiful day at the Zoo with Grandma & Grandpa. So fun to have so many cute babies at the zoo all at the same time. I must say I am partial to Zuri the baby elephant, but they were all adorable. Thanks for spending the day with us Gma & Gpa

14 years

14 years ago I married my best friend! It was the best day ever! It was a sunny day with a hint of fall in the air, just like today. I have noticed though that every Sept 16th since has been sunny. It has never rained on our Anniversary. This picture is one of our engagement pics, don't you love the denim? :) And Steve's hair? He HATED his hair like that but I liked it so he kept it that way..
Our wedding was so beautiful, we were married in Park City in the most gorgeous church in the mountains, with glass windows in the entire front of the church. Then we had our reception in my Sisters gorgeous backyard, with the yummiest buffet ever! I would love one of those chocolate dipped strawberries right now. Im going to go watch our wedding video now and cry!

Back to school

The morning went as usual, trying to get Bryn ready and get her breakfast is a hour process at least. She looked so cute though... Jade is a lot faster, I cant believe he is in 6th grade, I have to admit, I dont like it :( I missed them lots but it was nice too.... Here are the standard first day pics, I have to do them in the same place every year, and Bryn has an "eye attack" which my family used to call it when I did the same thing she does. She cant open her eyes long enough to get a good pic.. :) Love her Kermit backpack, I want one :)

One last hurrah

We decided very last minute to go to Denver, Steve had a couple jobs there so we thought it would be fun to go with him and go to a Rockies game.. It worked out perfect, they were playing The Giants ( Jades favorite team, and mine too ) So glad we went, it was a perfect evening for a game. I love major league games. The whole atmosphere is so exciting to me. The players on the field, the lights, the food, the perfectly groomed grass, the sounds, the smells, people watching, EVERYTHING. We went early and watching batting practice and Jade got 3 home run balls. We got to see his favorite player and awesome pitcher Tim Lincecum up close, it was worth every penny to watch Jade, it was like he was in heaven. After the game we headed out and drove a few hours and stayed in Vail for the night, then it was off to John and Jamie's cabin. We hadn't seen it completely done and it is so beautiful, I am so happy for them. We got there and my parents were there and Jade hopped right on the 4 wheeler and we didn't see much of him after that. He was a natural at it. They made us a yummy dutch oven dinner and we made a fire and had S"MORES.. They have a loft with beds up there and we slept up there. The kids loved that, until the loudest thunder I have EVER heard happened! The next day Jamie made us Belgian waffles with strawberries and cream and they were to die for. Then spent most of the day 4 wheeling, playing mini golf on the course they made, hunting for lizards and horny toads. It was so fun and so pretty up there, Jade keeps bugging Steve to get a 4 wheeler now. Somehow I don't think he will have to twist his arm too hard. Now its back to school...

500 Days Of Summer

500 days of summer Pictures, Images and Photos
So last Thursday night I had my night all planned... The kids were at Grandmas having a sleepover, Steve was out of town. I had my Bunco that night and after that I was planning on finally being able to scrapbook... However my plans changed, because of the crazy windy weather our power went out, and I was stuck home all alone in the dark. I waited around for awhile and decided instead of being creeped out that I would go to a movie. ( Glad I did, the power didnt come on till 3:30am ) It was like 10:00 when I decided to go, so I didnt want to ask a friend to go. So I went to 500 days of summer, alone, and I LOVED IT..... Go see it, Thank me later...
Im getting good at this going all alone stuff :)
