Autumn is Awesome

One of my favorite things to do is go for a drive on the Alpine loop. We used to do it every year, but haven't the last few, so we rolled our windows down and headed up there. It was as beautiful as ever and it was fun to hear the excitement in the kids voices as they asked all kinds of questions and hung their hands out the window. The yellow Aspen trees among the green pine trees are my favorite, in fact that is how Aspen got his name, since he was yellow! So I couldn't help but feel a little tug in my heart looking at the yellow Aspens.

Tooth Fairy

Yes, the lovely tooth fairy is going to be making a very expensive stop to see Miss Brynlee tonight. She had to go to the dreaded dentist this morning and had 5, yes 5 teeth pulled! She had to be put out to do it and is still a little groggy. She has had such an ordeal with the dentist her short little life and I pray that this is the last traumatizing trip to the dentist for her. I am proud of you Bean, cant wait to see what you pick out for your prize! And thanks Daddy for being braver than me and taking her!

Jades turn

My last few posts have been Bryn related so now its my time to brag up my little ball player! His team won their game tonight and he did so good! He got 2 doubles and pitched great!! It was such a perfect evening for a baseball game. We went to dinner after and I we were talking about how glad we are that he plays, it gives us something fun to do and an excuse to go to dinner after! Thanks for the entertainment Jade! you did awesome!

In a heartbeat .....

I was pregnant with Brynlee on 9/11/01 and had a Dr. appointment that day. I was so scared to leave the house, not knowing what was going to happen next. I went anyway, and remember the strange feeling driving there, not very many cars were on the road. They had it on all the TV's in the office, watching it while I waited, worrying about Jade and Steve at home, worrying about what the world will be like for Jade and this new little life inside me. My Dr. was unable to hear her heartbeat at the last appointment, It was pretty early on. So when he heard it that day he said " well at least one good thing happened today, you got to hear your baby " I will never forget that. I remember being at home after and there being no planes over our house which is a every few minute occasion. Terrible day, but at least I heard my baby!

Aunt Kimmy to the rescue !

So today is picture day at school and I wasnt sure how cute Bryns hair creation was going to look in the picture so Kim came over last night and fixed her bangs for her. It looked so cute when she left for school today! Thanks Kim for being there when we needed you, you are the best Aunt ever! ( I need to get some new baseball pics tonight, Bean is hogging the blog lately! Sorry Jade! )

Brynlee Scissorhands!

So Bryn is a little obsessed with her hair lately. Unfortunately she has a little natural curl like I do and so it makes it a joy to get perfectly straight, which is how she wants it! She wanted bangs that go to the side, so we had her hair cut before school started and it wasnt exactly the bangs she was looking for. Well yesterday she decided to cut some of her hair in the front because part of the bangs were sticking up! I was soooooo mad at her, but tried to contain myself! She pinky promised that she would never do it again. May I remind you she is 6, already wanting her hair just so! oh boy!

Like Grandma, Like Grandaughter!

Bryn sat for a long time practicing her crocheting skills that Grandma Sharon taught her. She is getting really good at it, and is working on a wash cloth for me! It looked so cute to me to see her sitting there doing that, concentrating so hard.( messy hair and all ) She loves doing stuff like that and will sit for hours until its just right. Thanks Grandma for teaching her your awesome skill! :) Maybe one day she will be making beautiful blankets and such!
